If you and I were to head out on a road trip, I’d tell you to roll down the windows and take the back roads that wind through the country or little towns. We’d stop where ever caught our eye and explore new places, taking in the scenery and taking our sweet time.
But, if you and I were to get home from work and find ourselves hungry and tired, I’d tell you to take a shortcut. The other night I found myself really wanting some French Onion soup, but by no means did I plan on caramelizing onions or letting a soup simmer for added flavor. That’s where Progresso comes in with their French Onion soup! For canned soup, it’s pretty delicious and if you add your own french bread and cheese then broil it in the oven, you probably couldn’t tell a difference.
Short Cut French Onion Soup
Progresso Soup in French Onion
4 Pieces of French Bread
4 Tbsp Shredded Mozerella (or you could use whole slices, I just didn’t have any on hand)
Step By Step
1 – Heat the soup on the stove top and pour into two ramekins.
2 – Put 2 slices of bread in each ramekin of soup and top with mozerella.
3 – Broil for about 3-5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and browned.
